Seekor buaya yang terkenal dengan keganasan dan memangsa segalanya ternyata dapat bersahabat dengan manusia, beginilah kisah Chito Sheddendari yang kerap didatangi Chito dan Phoco yang sudah bersahabat puluhan tahun.

Ceritanya pada dua puluh tahun lalu Chito menemukan buaya ini di sungai dengan keadaan hampir matit, terluka tembakan senjata api. Dia menaikkan buaya besar itu ke perahunya dan dibawa ke rumah, lalu dia ubati lukanya.

 “Setiap malam aku tidur di sebelah Pocho ketika dia terluka. Aku memperlakukannya dengan penuh kasih-sayang,” kata Chito

Chito manusia yang bersahabat dengan buaya tidak berlebihan kalau orang-orang memanggilnya sebagai Crocodile Man (Manusia Buaya). Chito, lelaki ini, mempunyai teman baik seekor buaya yang diberinya nama Pocho. 

Di sebuah tasik berair hijau seluas 100 meter persegi di Siquirres Costa Rica, Chito bebas bermain dengan binatang pemangsa ini. Ia tidak risau digigit ketika mengangkat kepala buaya ini. Ia juga tidak takut dibaham ketika mencium bibir Pocho yang memamerkan gigi-gigi tajam itu. Pocho bahkan diam saja ketika ekornya yang besar ditarik-tarik. Sewaktu Pocho mengibaskan ekornya yang keras itu, dijamin tidak bakal mengenai Chito.
