ALOR SETAR - Gara-gara mahu mengambil jalan pintas ke sebuah kedai runcit, seorang pemuda maut digilis kereta api Perkhidmatan Tren Elektrik (ETS) di Kilometer 114.25, Kodiang-Anak Bukit berhampiran Kampung Megat Dewa, Jitra, petang semalam. 

Dalam kejadian jam 4.34 petang itu, Mohd Afendy Yaziz, 20, dikatakan telah melompat pagar landasan untuk pergi ke kedai runcit di seberang landasan. 

Namun, mangsa telah dilanggar oleh ETS yang dalam perjalanan dari Padang Besar ke KL sentral itu, berkecai digilis hampir satu kilometer yang mengakibatkan operasi ETS tergendala selama 30 minit. 

Cebisan mayat mangsa telah dihantar ke Jabatan Forensik, Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah untuk pemeriksaan. 

Ketua Polis Daerah Kubang Pasu, Supt Abd Rahim Abdullah mengklasifikasikan kes itu sebagai mati mengejut. - PIXEL MEDIA
